Coencorp Receives an Order for Three Automated Fleet Fuel Management Systems From WestRock

MONTREAL, April 24, 2023 - WestRock (NYSE: WRK), a company committed to a sustainable future, recently decided to invest in Coencorp's automated fuel fleet management systems. With a value of $75k, WestRock has ordered three automated fleet fuel management systems to accurately track their fleet's fuel consumption. WestRock partners with their customers to provide sustainable paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace. WestRock's team members support customers worldwide from more than 300 production facilities spanning North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Innovating boldly and packaging sustainably is at the heart of WestRock's commitment to a sustainable future. This is why they sought a cloud-based in-house fleet fueling management solution for their three facilities. WestRock's objective is to track their fuel consumed and reconcile it with fuel purchases and inventory.

The SM2-FUEL platform provides the organization with the capability to account for every drop of fuel consumed. Some of the features of the chosen solution include:

  • Rugged, reliable system hardware
  • Automatic gauging of fuel storage tanks
  • Automatic recording of fuel drops
  • 24/7 monitoring and notification of leaks and reorder levels
  • Single-click reconciliation of the fleet's fuel consumption to purchases and inventory
  • Highly accurate records for full compliance with environmental regulations
  • The ability to produce compliance reports in the exact format required by regulatory agencies
  • Accountability for all types of consumables such as gasoline, diesel, LNG, and engine oil to name a few.

Coencorp CEO Ali Tavassoli, "We are pleased to have WestRock as part of the Coencorp family. By accounting for every drop of fuel spent, our SM2-FUEL platform will make WestRock's fleet operations more efficient, safer, and more environmentally responsible."

Coencorp anticipates delivering the equipment in the coming weeks, and installation should be completed soon.

Mr Tavassoli adds, "The software component of SM2-FUEL enables monitoring of all enterprise sites from the cloud. Fleet managers can create custom dynamic dashboards, personalized database views with aggregated sum/average functions, and set up auto-generated reports to be emailed to stakeholders automatically. SM2-FUEL will track fleet fuel consumption from the main storage tanks, remote day tanks, and equipment all the way down to the fuel dispensed to jerry cans."

Founded in 1991, Coencorp is a leading provider of automated fleet and fuel management solutions. Coencorp develops, manufactures, markets, and supports sophisticated hardware/software systems that efficiently manage fleets of 50 or more vehicles. Coencorp's mission is to improve its clients' bottom line by making their fleets more efficient, safer, and environmentally responsible.

City of Gatineau Is Managing Their Fleet Transition from Fossil Fuels to Electric

MONTREAL, Jan. 25, 2023 - The City of Gatineau is situated on the northern bank of the Ottawa River, directly across from Canada's capital Ottawa. The metropolitan area of Gatineau is home to almost 1.5 million people. Over a year ago, Gatineau purchased Coencorp's SM2-FUEL, its flagship fuel inventory management system. While the SM2-FUEL inventory management system accurately managed the city's fleet fuel stocks, discrepancies due to gaps in automation remained with the fuel dispensed to various equipment and vehicles, making reconciliation difficult. The City of Gatineau approached Coencorp for an end-to-end automated fleet fuel management solution, from inventory levels to deliveries to the dispensing of fuel. Discussions soon led to two other fleet management issues that had been plaguing the city for a while.

First, there was the issue of fleet maintenance planning. The city was using two separate software systems because neither could provide the proper data collection, and the maintenance management benefits necessary for efficient fleet maintenance. Data gathering and information transfer from one system to another and back again were tedious processes.

The second issue involved the management of the electric fleet. Several departments are given access to EVs, but city workers were reluctant to use them owing to unknown battery charge levels and range anxiety. The city sought more precise cost accounting in order to apportion EV running expenses to the appropriate departments that would use the cars.

Gatineau needed a single fleet management platform capable of handling their fleet's present fossil fuel consumption, addressing their fleet maintenance planning requirements, as well as lead them into the future with competent electric vehicle fleet management. Consequently, the City of Gatineau has awarded Coencorp a $200,000 order for the technology needed to properly manage their fleet now and into the future of going electric.

Coencorp president Ali Tavassoli comments, "We applaud all green initiatives being undertaken by municipal public works. The transition from fossil fuels to electric is not instantaneous and requires careful planning to maintain efficiency throughout. It only makes sense that a fleet management system should solve both current and future challenges."

The project will be deployed and commissioned in the coming months.

Keystone Energy Services Orders A Fully Integrated Fleet Management Solution From Coencorp

Montreal, October 2022: Keystone Energy Services (KES) LLC, a leading pipeline construction company primarily focused on the Permian Basin region, has placed an order for a fully integrated fleet management solution from Coencorp. KES previously managed its fleet maintenance, fleet fueling, and fleet telematics using three separate vendors. Integrating the information from each platform to gain efficiency and meaningful insights proved to be difficult. In addition, this arrangement meant dealing with three different companies for varying levels of support. The need to ensure the health and safety of KES personnel, to continuously enhance operational efficiency, and to implement the safest work practices for their clients necessitated the complete overhaul of the existing fleet management scheme.

After an extensive process of researching integrated fleet management solutions, KES awarded an order worth approximately CAD 200,000 for Coencorp’s SM2-FUEL fully automated fleet fuel system, SM2-MAINTAIN maintenance management solution, SM2-LOCATE fleet telematics and real-time GPS asset tracking. KES also wanted a gate and building access control, so they added SM2-SECURE access control and time tracking for fleets.

Coencorp President, Mr. Ali Tavassoli, comments, “We are proud to be the sole provider of a fully integrated fleet management solution for Keystone Energy Services. What caught the eye of KES was the end-to-end integration that our fleet management system delivers. Keystone also required some customization to address their unique operating parameters and we can deliver that as well. We build the hardware and software in-house so we have the capacity to accommodate special operating demands. All of this is backed by our unparalleled fleet management support.”

For over 31 years, Coencorp has developed a complete fleet management system that seamlessly combines software and hardware to integrate fuel management, maintenance and work order management, automatic vehicle location or AVL, telematics, asset tracking, and yard and building access control including employee time and attendance tracking.

The project will be installed and become operational in the coming months.

The City of Terrebonne places additional order for fleet fuel management

MONTREAL — The City of Terrebonne placed a second order worth over $50,000 to upgrade and fully automate the fuel operations of their police fleet, which consists of more than 100 units. Located northeast of Montreal with a population of 120,000, Terrebonne has been a Coencorp client since 2010 for their municipal public works fleet and facility.

“It is a testament to our business, quality of service, and technology when a client of 12 years upgrades their fuel management system to a fully automated solution,” says Ali Tavassoli, CEO of Coencorp. “Coencorp’s SM2-FUEL technology enables organisations to implement a basic fuel management system and subsequently upgrade to fully automated solutions as needs evolve or when resources become available.”

The vehicle data units (VDUs) and other equipment will be installed on the vehicles and equipment over the coming months. Coencorp will also provide ongoing support to the staff at the City of Terrebonne to ensure the smooth integration of the SM2-FUEL fully automated fuel management technology.

GCC-10 Support End of Life

Coencorp is announcing the end of support for the GCC-10 fuel management system.

The GCC-10 was a great product and has served its users well since its introduction in the mid 90's, but support for it now, over 25 years later, has unfortunately become unsustainable.

That is not to say that Coencorp is abandoning the idea of a budget-friendly fuel management system—far from it.

SM2-FuelUp is here to give small fleets the best value on the market. Click here to learn more about the benefits of FuelUp:

  • No need to go to the terminal to fetch your data: everything is transmitted in real-time
  • Transactional data: not just total volumes for each unit—get data for each time a user takes fuel at the pump

Coencorp Wins Canadian Armed Forces Fuel Management System Contract

MONTREAL, Feb. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Coencorp Consultant Corporation has been awarded a substantial contract to upgrade the fleet fuel management systems of five Canadian Forces Bases with its cloud-based SM2-FUEL fleet management solution. The Canadian military operates several bases across Canada with a fleet of vehicles totaling more than 60,000 units.

The Canadian military had operated the fuel management of their fleet with Coencorp's legacy desktop system for over twenty years. Over this time, the database had grown extensively which required increased IT maintenance. Another challenge for the military was their unique fuel management operational and reporting requirements. Because Coencorp's fuel management solution is designed and built in-house, they were able to customize it to meet the needs of the CFB bases. Updating the fuel management system was a concern for the military because they did not want to lose this level of customization and reporting. Coencorp's new cloud-based SM2-FUEL technology is capable of being implemented with strategic hardware updates and the support functions to move the database from a desktop version to a cloud-based alternative.

Coencorp's CEO, Mr. Ali Tavassoli comments, "This is a testament of Coencorp's technology, commitment to its user base and past product support for the hardware and software components. We are very pleased to continue to be a partner with the Canadian Armed Forces with their fleet fuel management objectives and we look forward to providing the level of service and unique customization our proud military requires."

The upgrade process will begin almost immediately with a projected completion date for the 5 designated bases by May of 2022.

Coencorp Migrates Their Fleet Management Clients To The Microsoft Azure Platform

Coencorp Consulting Corporation has partnered with Microsoft as a Microsoft ISV (Independent Software Vendor) to migrate its SM2 Fleet and Fuel Management applications to Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform.

Big data is important to any organization and its fleet. The information gathered must be streamlined in order to facilitate more informed and quicker decision making. Cloud-based hosting platforms are required to collect this data, track and analyze it. Coencorp understands this need because fleets require insights on a number of crucial fleet KPI's.

Mr. Ali Tavassoli, CEO of Coencorp comments, "We are continuously striving to improve and provide for the needs of our clients. Fleet managers require information about their assets both stationary and mobile, location of these assets, real-time performance, fuel requirements and maintenance scheduling. This need for data is increasing at an exponential rate and this information is being captured from a multitude of sources. Security, compliance and scalability is what we require. Microsoft Azure was a logical choice.”

Over the past months, Coencorp has migrated all hosted SM2 client installations to the Azure cloud with minimal inconvenience to the fleet manager and their organization.

Mr. Tavassoli adds, “We are pleased with how smoothly the hosting migration has taken place. It was important for our clients to have minimal downtime so their operations could continue as normal and Coencorp delivered.”

Going forward, Coencorp will continue to provide the flexibility, security, compliance and scalability required by the existing and future clients of the SM2 Fleet and Fuel management solution and the fleet industry in general for decades to come.

Coencorp Lands Another Contract For An
Automated Fleet Fuel Management Solution

September 16, 2021

When a Virginia Beach EMS company moved their fleet of fifteen vehicles into a new facility, the manual fuel management process was inadequate for emergency medical services, which need to have much of the fleet management procedures monitored automatically and accurately. For Fast Track EMS, their new facility had two
underground storage tanks (USTs) for fuel; one for diesel and the second for gasoline. Local, state and federal authorities
require statistical inventory reconciliation (SIR) for all fuel underground storage tanks for preventing and detecting fuel
releases. The existing SIR process was a manual procedure requiring daily tank dips to be measured and recorded onto
a spreadsheet with manual calculations and reporting. This had to be automated for a company that is focused on
providing emergency medical services.

Fast Track EMS was also looking for a fuel management system that would automatically start the fuel pump when a
nozzle is inserted in an authorized vehicle fill pipe. The desired solution would also have to automatically verify that the
requested fuel is compatible with that particular vehicle to eliminate the possibility of pumping gas in a diesel vehicle, for
instance. They wanted that, upon nozzle withdrawal, the system would immediately stop fuel flow and that once refueling
was completed, it would record the fuel transaction data as well as vehicle engine data (such as odometer and engine
hours, captured while fuelling was in progress). Furthermore, they wanted the flexibility to be able to allow the driver to
also authorize fuel through the fuel island terminal keypad in some cases. Finally, due to the urgent nature of their
business, there is zero tolerance for having a fleet immobilized due to exhausted fuel inventories. It is paramount the fleet
manager be notified when the UST levels reach a re-order level.

Mr. Ali Tavassoli, CEO of Coencorp comments, "So many fleet facilities with USTs are still reconciling their fuel
inventories manually. This leaves room for large margins of error. In addition, the resources to manually take
measurements daily and produce the monthly reconciliation reports is a function of fleet management that no one enjoys.
With Coencorp's SM2-FUEL solution, the fleet manager is able to see their tank levels, be automatically notified when the
levels reach a re-order level, automatically record daily electronic tank dips, automatically track and record the pump
totalizers, volumes of fuel delivered, how much fuel is dispensed and to which fleet asset. Inventory reconciliation reports
are generated with a single mouse click. Overall, SM2-FUEL is a fully integrated and automated solution when combined
with the vehicle engine data capture for preventative maintenance."

The hardware for the SM2-FUEL solution will be installed over the next few months and the recorded information will be
set up in a cloud-based network providing full flexibility to extract and manage the data as necessary. Full training will be
provided to the fleet team at Fast Track EMS and 24/7 support is part of the overall fuel management investment.

Another Fleet Fuel & Maintenance Management Solution Awarded to Coencorp

Brossard, Canada - August 9, 2021 /PressCable/

Coencorp, a leading fleet management solutions provider, wins another contract to supply fleet fuel software, hardware and support services from Eurovia Québec Construction for their Wakefield site.

Managing the fleet of a construction company and monitoring its fuel consumption is a challenging task for fleet managers. Coencorp Consultant Corporation is pleased to announce the award of another contract to supply their SM-2 FUEL fleet management solutions to Eurovia Quebec Construction for their new Wakefield site.

Eurovia Québec Construction Inc is located in Boucherville, QC, Canada and is part of the Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction Industry. The company has 2,000 total employees across all of its locations. There are 5,624 companies in the Eurovia Québec Construction Inc corporate family. In the $25k contract, Coencorp will provide fuel management hardware and software to automate the inventory and dispensing of fuel at the Wakefield site facility.

Ali Tavassoli, President and CEO of Coencorp comments, “We are pleased and grateful to Eurovia Québec Construction for the opportunity to provide fleet fuel management solutions for their growing construction operations. Repeat orders are a clear indication that we are doing things right and we value the business relationship we have developed with Eurovia over the years.”

Coencorp has invested many resources to develop a fleet management solution that caters to the special and difficult demands of the construction industry. Fuel management is a major cost center for any construction project and accurate fuel measurement and reconciliation is vital for keeping costs down and completing projects within budget.

Mr. Tavassoli adds, “This order solidifies the true essence of Coencorp’s business philosophy to provide superior fleet management solutions with unequalled backup and product support. This is what brings us repeat orders and explains why we still work closely with our very first customer of 31 years.”

Full implementation of the fuel management system is expected to be completed very soon.

Coencorp Elevates SFP Pointe Noire Fleet Management To A Fully Integrated System

Coencorp, a leading fleet management solutions provider, elevates SFP Pointe Noire's fleet to a fully integrated fleet management platform that includes fuel management, GPS telematics, and driver behavior data capture for a productive and profitable operation.

MONTREAL (PRWEB)

Coencorp, a leading fleet management solutions provider, elevates SFP Pointe Noire's fleet to a fully integrated fleet management platform that includes fuel management, GPS telematics, and driver behavior data capture for a productive and profitable operation.

SFP Pointe Noire is a key railway and port logistical hub that provides rail transportation and commodities handling for the natural resource industry on the north shore of the St.Lawrence River in Sept Iles, Quebec. Their fleet comprises of approximately 70 passenger vehicles, 30 heavy machinery and rail locomotives. The infrastructure includes 3 deep water ports, 34 kms of railroad lines and 500 Ha of industrial land which handle over 10 Mt of commodities annually. To service the fleet, SFP Pointe Noire has an extensive maintenance facility with 4 indoor fueling stations and an additional 5 fueling stations strategically positioned throughout their yard.

For this upgrade they were looking for much more than fuel management. The top priorities are maintenance management along with GPS telematics for asset tracking and analysis of driver behaviors. They wanted these three independent management processes to talk seamlessly with each other. After looking for a solution in the market they selected Coencorp to supply fleet fuel management and GPS telematics solutions.

Ali Tavassoli, President of Coencorp comments, "Our company is well known and respected for fleet fuel management. We faced some tough competition from several groups of technology providers. What won the order for us was the fully integrated solution Coencorp can provide for complex fleet management issues. SFP Pointe Noire appreciated the one platform for all three areas of fleet management along with the seamless integration with only one supplier and the value that it brings. Purchasing three separate solutions from three different companies did not make economical sense."
Coencorp will be providing fleet fuel management hardware, software, technical guidance and installation support.

Coencorp will also provide a mobile tanker system for fuel delivery to assets in the field, GPS tracking and historical trace of driver and equipment behavior with location data. The data will be used for equipment health monitoring, driving behaviors, geo-fencing features and many AI/BI features.

Coencorp Lands Another Municipal Client for Fleet Fuel & Maintenance Management

Coencorp, a leading fleet management solutions provider, wins a contract to supply fleet fuel & maintenance software, hardware and support services to St. Saveur, a city north of Montreal, Quebec.

Brossard, Canada - December 10, 2020 /PressCable/ —

Municipalities across North America are currently focusing to reduce the costs and expenditures of their fleet operations in two main areas being fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance. Coencorp Consultant Corporation is pleased to announce the award of a contract to supply their SM-2 Fuel and SM-2 Maintain integrated fleet management solutions hardware, software and support services to the City of Saint Sauveur located north of Montreal, Quebec.

The City of Saint Sauveur operates approximately 80 vehicles to service the needs of the community with a population of approximately 10,000 and a land area of roughly 50 square kilometers. In the contract, Coencorp will provide fuel management hardware and software to automate the inventory and dispensing of fuel at the two main fueling stations. In addition, Coencorp will work to set up a maintenance management cloud-based solution to monitor the City’s fleet maintenance scheduling along with parts inventory.

Ali Tavassoli, President and CEO of Coencorp comments, “Labor, maintenance and fuel are typically the largest expenses for any fleet vehicle operations. The management at the City of Saint Sauveur were looking not only for a reliable fuel management solution, they also wanted an integrated solution for the maintenance program of their fleet of 80 vehicles. We have been providing municipalities across North America with fleet management solutions for over 30 years and we are pleased that Saint Saveur chose Coencorp as their fleet management partner.”

Coencorp will also be providing ongoing live support to all levels of the city’s management and operational team to ensure a smooth implementation of the integrated fleet management solution. Much of the hardware has already been shipped to the city and work has begun to implement the fuel management hardware at Saint Sauveur’s two main fueling facilities.

Mr. Tavassoli adds, ” Monitoring fuel and accurate accounting of fuel deliveries with dispensing of fuel to a fleet can be difficult to reconcile daily and monthly. The SM2 Fuel system automatically and accurately accounts the transactions and inventory management of the fleet’s fuel and other consumables.”

Full implementation of the fuel and maintenance hardware and software is expected to be completed by February 2020.
